How to create your own button
On TapaBoom the button is the product — every sound gets its own one-of-a-kind art. And you can design yours. The constructor lets you stack glossy layers, choose from hundreds of lenses, patterns and effects, blend them any way you like, and bake it all into a crisp squircle nobody else has. Here's how, start to finish.
Open the button constructor
Sign in and open the Button constructor. On the left you get a big live preview of your button; on the right, the stack of layers it's built from. Every change you make shows up in the preview instantly.
Stack your art layers
Every button is a stack of art layers — a base, glows, textures, a glassy top. Reorder them by dragging, toggle each with the eye, and tune its opacity, hue and scale. Layer order is what gives the button its depth.
Choose from hundreds of lenses, patterns & effects
Hit + Add layer to open the library. There are five shelves to raid — Glass (glossy lenses: highlights, reflections, swirls, water drops), Patterns, Textures, Effects (bubbles, lightning, particles, sparks) and even My photo. Hundreds of pieces to mix — that's why no two buttons look alike.
Blend modes change everything
Give each layer a blend mode and watch the whole button transform. Same layers, five completely different looks: normal covers, screen makes light glow through, multiply keeps only the brightest bits, overlay cranks the contrast, lighten holds the highlights. This is where your button becomes truly yours.
Pick a frame color
Set the squircle's frame color with the slider or a swatch — or tick auto and let TapaBoom match the frame to your artwork.
Attach a sound
A button needs a sound. Under Sound for this button pick an existing one, or Upload your own file / Record one on the spot, then give it a name.
Create the button
When you're happy, hit Create button. TapaBoom bakes all your layers into a single lightweight, razor-sharp squircle — like this one — and drops it into My buttons, ready to tap, share and play.
