Clapping Cat

About this sound

Clapping Cat is a sound of slow applause from a black cat with a human smile and human hands.

The clip was posted in late September 2026 by video creator Aleksandr Kim (@merkurianin): he gives his cat a treat, and the cat answers with a creepy human grin and claps with human palms. It was made with AI tools, and within a week green-screen versions, funk remixes and "original vs meme" compilations had millions of views on TikTok and YouTube.

Play it as sarcastic applause: for a classmate's excuse about "traffic in the hallway", for a friend who finally replied after three days, or for any truly questionable decision.
